DIY SMS/Game Gear Plug-in?
« on: 09/Jun/2018 09:35:47 PM »
Hi, there, Retrode Community Forums!

I'm looking to buy/make an SMS plug-in for dumping SMS and Game Gear games.

Unfortunately, the SMS plug-in is out of stock at Dragonbox (and everywhere else!).

Would anyone happen to have/know where I can find the appropriate file(s) necessary to order a copy of the SMS plug-in from, say, Elecrow or DirtyPCBs?

Thank you very much for your time!

I wish someone made and sold a batch of Gamegear ones. I would certainly get one asap.

Dragonbox currently showing the Retrode and all plugins IN STOCK.

You can get a Game Gear cart connector to add to the SMS Plugin here:  https://www.ebay.com/itm/Game-Gear-45-pin-Slot-/273379376160

Take Care!

I have a SMS plug-in on the way and just ordered a GG connector.

When they arrive will I simply need to align the GG pins with holes in the board and solder them into place, or will I need to do some fancy wiring?

The only additional wiring needed would be if you wanted to read Codemasters carts.

Not really, I'm mostly interested in the Sonic titles.

Thank you.
