General Discussion / [Tutorial] Ouya Setup
« on: 14/Dec/2013 04:05:11 AM »
With the new updates with the Ouya it is unable to natively load Fat formatted devices. Attached is a PDF that explains a work around you can use. I also attached how to map controllers on the Retrode to the Ouya.

Hopefully this helps people that use the Ouya.

How to use the Retrode on the Ouya

How to use the Retrode Controller on the Ouya

You might have to play with the n64 one a bit more but the basic stuff is that tutorial.

General Discussion / Retrode Pi Installer/Booter
« on: 22/May/2013 05:19:37 PM »
Hey everyone. I have been busy working on some stuff like the installer for the Retrode Pi.

I still need to add it where it copies the loader and I am also trying to get joystick working as well with everything. With the boot I would also like to validate using hashes after copy to make sure it copied correctly. Along with several other things.

Note this is a work in progress.

General Discussion / Raspberry Pi Retrode Bash Script
« on: 03/May/2013 03:46:12 AM »
Hey everyone. Below is a script I put together to automatically launch the correct emulator based on the rom extension.  If I made any mistakes or add to post the changes in your post. I'm kinda new at creating bash scripts.

I do not have it setup when it boots. If you wish to do so you need to setup auto login and put the script launch the script in the .profile.

You will need to follow these instructions before using this.
http://supernintendopi.wordpress.com/

Basically this will mount the retrode.
Then checks which Type of game you have.
It then copies the game to the rom folder for the emulator. Also makes it faster to load next time.
It also copies the save if it does not exist.
Then it runs the Emulator for that Rom.

Code: [Select]
#!/bin/bash

#Check and Make Temporary Directory for Retrode Roms/Save Files
DIR="/home/pi/retrode"

if [ -d "$DIR" ]; then
echo "$DIR directory  exists!"
else
mkdir $DIR
fi

#Mount Retrode to Folder
if [ $(mount | grep -c /home/pi/retrode) != 1 ]; then
    mount /dev/sda /home/pi/retrode || exit 1
else
    echo "Retrode is Already Mounted"

General Discussion / N64 Controller
« on: 16/Apr/2013 12:50:40 AM »
Hey everyone, those that are having issues with the n64 controller analog stick not reacting to certain movements on project 64. I recommend downloading this plugin for the emulator.

Use the settings that are shown in the image attached.

I notice when I tried to do the escape from Kokiri Forest it tend to forward slash instead of side hop. When I swapped to this input plugin instead I was able to do the glitch.

Hey everyone. During my lunch hour I put together some covers for the retrode adapters.

Right now I only did the n64 adapter.

North America NTSC - HERE
Japan JSTC - HERE
Europen Pal - HERE
Photoshop File - HERE

You would use these covers for the Universal Game Covers

Please use this topic to help others out to see what games work. Post your list as well. I will add more later. Unfortunately, I will not be able to have access to all my games since I am in the middle of moving right now. But I still have around 20 more N64 Games that I have access to. If there is another topic please combined this topic with the other one.

I was wondering if anyone tried theirs on the wii for some reason my doesn't see it at all. I tried it on both of my wii's. Yes there both modded :). Just wondering if I am doing something wrong. Other than that this thing is great.

Steps I did:
Pluged in the retrode with LoZ
Started my Wii
Went to Homebrew
Started Emulator
Went to USB Storage

Then throws cannot find USB Device. Retry or quit.
