Say if we added a Clone "X-Emulated-on-a-Chip" To it and worked out the compatibility options could we be able to use the Retrode adapters on other systems? Then we'd be able to play Atari 2600 on SNES and what not.

You're asking if you could turn it into a RetroGEN? No you couldn't. All the plug-ins do is swap pins to match them to what they would be on SNES/Genesis. The RetroGENs are far too complicated on the inside to solder the parts in by hand.
